Pensi alla valle che lasci?
Oh, come sarà desolata e triste
Pensi al cuore appassionato che infrangi
E alla tristezza che mi butti addosso?

Aspetto da tanto tempo
Quella parola che tu non dirai mai
Ed in fine c’è questo mio cuore che spezzi
Poiché mi si dice che te ne vai

Siccome te ne vai alla tua casa sul mare
Che tu non possa mai scordare quelle dolci ore
Che abbiamo passato nella Red River Valley
